If you want me to compare desaru coast nie dgn Sunway Lagoon
or A’Famosa Malacca, rasanya not really match. Means desaru nie way lower than
they all. This one is based on total attraction and extreme level. So memang
berbaloi lah kalau datang masa harga soft opening nie.
Ticket can be buy online or you can just walk-in to buy. If you
buy online, you need to have specific date to go. And on the counter, you can
buy only for day of entry.
The ticket is for one day entry and not allowed re-entry. Not
outside food allowed. Air masak /plain water is allowable. There is bag
checking counter before going in.
After the entrance you will see the changing room and locker area. The locker system is keyless. Which there are machine which you need to pay for locker rent and enter your password for the locker access. The price is RM20 for small locker and RM40 for big locker. The payment can be made by cash, credit card or barcode scan on you wrist band.
Basically they are using wrist band barcode scan for all the transaction inside the park. Top up your wristband and if there are any balances at the end of the day, you can claim for refund at the ticketing counter before 7pm on the same day.
The ticket entry fee is cover for every attraction in the
park. You need to bring extra money for parking fee (RM8 for 1st 5
hour), locker and meals.
They sell quite variety of meals. You can have sandwich,
pizza, spaghetti, nasi ayam and etc. there also stall nearby attraction area
where you can have snack and fruit juices. However, reminder, the price is
really expensive. Tuna sandwich can cost you RM18, can drink is RM5, a plate of
spaghetti is RM20. If they can reduce the price, I think it will be better. Like
spaghetti RM15 is acceptable, well nasi ayam in airasia flight is only RM16,
here it is RM20. Maybe the management can think more about the meal price if
they still want to attract Malaysian to visit their place after the grand
opening.
These waterpark are divided into 5 sections. Tidal wave
beach, kids ahoy, Penawar River, Penawar Falls, and Shipwreck Reef.
Tidal Wave Beach
Well, as clear as it name, of course it is a man made beach
with wave interval. It is situated just right in front of Hard Rock Hotel. They said Tidal Wave Beach is one of the largest wave pools in southwest asia.
Life jacket are provided. It is not compulsory to wear but
advisable to avoid any accident. My advise wear it. Sebab ombak dia boleh tolak
orang ke dinding tepi. Especially bila korang berada dekat kawasan yg agak
dalam. Yes this beach ada 3 kedalaman. Watch the floor colour. Mula2 tak
perasan kena tolak ke tepi. Masa tue penat kayuh nak ke tempat cetek after
ombak strike. Tips duduk dekat betul2 center pool tue. Dekat center wall ombak
datang tue ada pics sotong, make sure korang nampak sotong tue center in your
eyes.
The wave interval, if not mistaken. Every 30 minutes. And
the wave height is around 3 meter. Merasa lah main ombak. Ombak kat laut takut.
Kat pool safe sikit. Don’t worry, life guard keliling around 10 rasanya. And wear
life jacket. Dan kalau takut sangat keep yourself at shallow water area.
Kids Ahoy
From entrance, if your turn to your right, there you can find
Kids Ahoy section. Here there are 3 area for kids to play. Each area suitable
for different kids age. Sempat main dekat 3rd area jek. Yang ada
bucket air mencurah.
Lagi 2 tempat kids area tak masuk pun sebab segan. Tetiba orang dewasa masuk tempat kanak2, kalau ada jaga budak takpe jugak. This 2 area, More to water splashing and small slide. Suitable for younger age, maybe below 5 years old.
Dekat section nie jugak ada surf wall. Mula2 segan nak cuba. Sebab you will try to surf alone (with the guide) and you will be the center of attraction for all the people line up overthere.
The queue and waiting time also quite long. Because its one
by one turn. Each person got 3 try’s. lucky for us sebab main nie last sekali
around 5.00 macam baru queue. And our group are the last person. Main sampai
puas, and sampai pandai!
Penawar Falls
This is the first thing you will see when you enter the
park. A waterfall scenery, good for picture session.
Here also where you can find the swinging ship.
**remark: I am afraid of height!!!**
The ship will swing right to left until it reach 180o.
well look from down, its not so terrifying. Macam naik buai jek kot. But when
you in the ship and been swing left and right, the feeling of like you are
leaving the seat…I scream out loud. Turun jek rasa lemah gemalai terus. Hilang terus
rasa gula dalam badan. Ok..maybe over exaggerate bagi orang yg tak takut
tinggi. Tapi orang gayat, itu yang aku rasa.
Penawar River
Ok kat sini ada 3 main attraction.
1st is the 350m long river. Nie sesuai untuk
relax. Ambil buoy, baring, and hanyut. lifeguard cakap siap ada yang tidur lena
lagi berhanyut tue. Yang nie tak tau lah dia cerita tipu ke betul. Buoy ada 2
pilihan, single rider buoy or double rider buoy.
2nd attraction, we go to slide yang tak extreme
sangat. Super Twister and Wild Whirls. 2 slides nie dekat tower yang sama.
Kanan Super Twister, kiri Wild Whirls. Masa beratur naik tangga tue choose your
line. Nak naik kanan ke kiri, senang sikit bila dah sampai atas. Kena bawak
buoy sndiri naik atas. Tapi tak tinggi sangat dalam 3 tingkat jek. Boleh naik
double rider or single rider.
Diorang panggil yang Super Twister tue slow, Wild Whirls tue laju. Ok beza sebenarnya, Super Twister nie slides dia banyak pusing2, drop dia pun not too steep sebab a lot of curves to bring you down. While yang Wild Whirls has a steep drop into open an open bowl. Walaupun dia laju tapi excited dia kejap jek, masa turun laju and masuk dekat open bowl. Prefer Super Twister, even slow tapi ada banyak funnel2 kecik and of course lama sikit ride dia.
3rd attraction Slide The Tempest and Riptide. Nie
yang ice cream cone besar tue. Ride for 4 people. At the moment dia close for
maintenance. Clear explanation, diorg nak buat lif untuk bawak buoy naik atas. Apsal
lah tak buat awal2 sebelum bukak? Cis, saje suruh orang datang lagi. (Well,
kalau bukak pun tak tau berani naik ke tak).
Shipwreck Reef
This one rasanya main attraction, Kraken Revenge. A roller
coaster with a splash.
Korang rasa after kena hayun dengan swing ship tadi, aku ada hati lagi ke nak naik coaster. Memang surrender awal2 lah. Kawan aku cakap last drop dia almost 90o sebab memang tak nampak apa bawah. Yang tak gayat sila naik.
Loose item tak boleh bawak naik ride and slide. Spec, camera semua kena tinggal. Either tinggal kat locker or kalau berani tinggal jek kat entrance nak slides. Tapi tanggung sendiri lah kalau hilang.
Maybe management boleh sediakan tempat utk gantung spec /
camera / loose item before nak naik rides tue. Boleh letak label ‘On your own
responsibilities’ dan boleh jugak tambah pasang cctv around the park for
monitoring.
Apa yang best?
- Harga sekarang berbaloi. Price matching dengan attraction dia.
- Locker system yang secure.
- Staff yang friendly and enthusiastic. Harap semangat diorg nie kekal sampai bila2 bukan setakat masa baru bukak nie jek. Management mungkin boleh bagi staff of the month, nominate by visitor untuk kekalkan semangat diorg untuk bagi servis terbaik.
- Mahal. Parking mahal, locker mahal, makan mahal. Parking boleh buat per entry rather than by hour. Locker..hurmm, boleh kurang sikit tak? Makan…dah cakap kat atas tadi rasanya.
- If you guys expect thrill, extreme slide, rasanya yang memenuhi ciri2 tue kraken revenge, tempest and riptide.
- Macam interval wave tue kena increase..maksudnya 30 min tue mcm lama sangat nak tunggu. And kesian jugak dekat lifeguard yang location dia tengah2 pool sebab tiap kali wave hit, diorg pun kena tolak jugak and pastu kena swim balik ke position asal. Ada cara tak untuk diorg tak payah gerak means not affected by the wave ea?
Guys, get a time,
spend that time here…at least before the price increase.
